Collision between cloth and particle system

Hello, everybody! I am quite new in blender and I don’t have any “formal” training, so maybe my problem is quite easy to solve…I have a solid and I created a particles system, let say rocks, on top of it. Now I want to create a “layer” which collide with this particles like a cloth in a way this cloth will follow the particles shape. Until now, I am only able to simulate the collision between this cloth and the solid but the particles remain over the cloth. I tried to set a collision physics on the original object I use for creating the particles but was useless. Can you help me with this, please? Thanks!
