Texture Mapping Axes not available in Node Editor?

Hi all,
I ran into the following problem recently. A recent build of Blender (pre-2.79) does not have the texture settings tab in the Properties Editor on my home laptop. The one to the right of the material settings and to the left of particle settings, it simply doesn’t show up. Strangely, it works fine on other computers.

Normally I wouldn’t miss it, since everything you can set here you should be able to do with nodes in the node editor. Except for one thing: setting the projection axes, see the picture below. I don’t always want to project a texture along the Z-coordinate (default behaviour).

Does anyone know how to change these in the node editor? They are not under the mapping node.

If I think about it, there doesn’t seem to be much purpose to the texture settings tab otherwise…

Haven’t seen that (still on 2.78 here), but you should be able to change behavior using a simple separate xyz -> combine xyz nodes where you swap around the connections.

Yes, that works, that was the behaviour I was looking for, thanks!
