Mesh moves with the bone, and that's the problem.

Ok, so I have the mesh all nice and done, but when I go to start rigging it, I run into this weird problem.
I’m in object mode, I press shift+A and click on single bone (like every tutorial says to), but when I go to move the bone, it moves the mesh with it. How can I get the mesh to stay still so I can make it’s armature?
I don’t have anything but the bone selected, so I don’t know why it’s moving the mesh.

Are there any modifiers on the mesh? Is it possible you’re doing a simple parent between the mesh and armature?

Posting the blend file is almost always the best way to get a good solution. :slight_smile:
