Fluid simulation 'banding'

I’m working on an animation that shows water sloshing around a room. The room --an obstacle set to ‘free slip’ within a larger domain shape–and a child camera rotate around the room’s y axis. As the screenshot and preview shows, I’m getting this strange banding of the fluid as it runs along the walls. Any idea why this would happen?
