Depth map not showing any depth

Hi all,

Been busy with baking a .exr depth map what i want to apply on a simple plane with micropolygon displacement. I set the Feature set to Experimental, i also set a subdivision subsurface modifier with the Adaptive checkbox checked. I unwrapped the plane and added the image texture node to the Material Output displacement socket. Unfortunately in the viewport it doesn’t show any depth at all. I’m wondering what i am doing wrong, anybody an idea? Please have a look at the file below;

Material settings, displacement: bump -> true.
