Lobo from DC Comics

This is my first month “playing” with blender, and I decided to try a complete character project, so I can learn every part of the process.

This is Lobo, DC Comics antihero.

Basic stuff I can do for now:

  • Modeling-> sculpting->retopo
  • Playing with shadings
  • First attempt of hair particles

Tons of things to do:

Modeling/sculpting:

  • Body
  • New hairstyle?
  • Clothes
  • Chains, weapons,…
  • Some kind of base/pedestal: Throne, pile of bones…
  • Background

Textures:

  • Skin, clothes, …everything!

Riging

  • A whole new world to me!

Lighting

  • Lot of things to learn

Critics or help appreciated!

very cool, try to thick down the hair and and add some more so you get the same result and more realistic one.
good luck.

In the reference image, his eyes appear quite shiny. Perhaps that would improve their appearance?

His hair is also part of different anime-like strands. At least, that’s how I believe it would look a bit better, albeit less realistic:

Nice muscles.

And still smaller than the comics!

I’m not looking for a realist character, maybe more like a collectible figure. But a little of anathomy doesn’t hurt anyone
