Book: Game Design Patterns

I don’t think i have seen this posted here. It is a wonderful resource on how to tie together different pieces of code. It may not be as relevant since it is aimed at people making an engine from scratch but many things also apply to game dev on an existing engine.

You can read it for free on the browser or buy a digital or physical copy.

Three months ago the material this resource contains wouldn’t have meant anything to me. Now? I think it’s fantastic. I like the authors sense of humour, and have found his ideas (up to where I am) sensible. I think I may have to buy a dead-tree edition…

And I think it has a huge amount that is relevant to larger games built in BGE, or any engine really.
