How to create a bendable watch strap?

I want to create a watch strap model,

I have learned some basic box modeling skill in blender, but cannot figure out how to make the spring-bar end of the strap, create the stitch, and able to bend the strap after modeling.

Appreciate for direction and advise.


The structure flows have to align with the deformation direction, and there has to be enough of it to make the bend(s). The stitching can be done with bump/texture maps.

I have model the strap in Fusion 360, the stitching are individual meshes, and a lot of triangle, really a mess, pretty pain for UV.

I am thinking to model the strap in blender, but I am not very good in box modeling, in 3D CAD I use loft, sweep with sketches, etc. Any advise how should I start?
