Car render, I know, ho hum.

I’ve been getting into Blender the last week or so. It’s amazing. This car model I did in another software, so apart from re-surfacing it for Cycles and making the street barriers in the background, it perhaps doesn’t qualify as a full blown Blender project. But my main thing was to test out Cycles and compare it to what I’m used to using. I love it, with filmic and the principled BSDF shader, it’s really a fantastic renderer. Road texture was a freebie from Polygon. HDR environment was a freebie from chocofur. Hope my next entry to be a full Blender production.

Hi, I saw your portfolio and I am not sure why are you amazed with Cycles. You got better results here http://djwatermanscgportfolio.blogspot.nl/p/mini-cooper.html But anyway, nice looking Cycles renders.

Well there’s a ton of post work on those other images, these just have some curve adjustments.

Really great work.
