Wierd behavior of Hair with the same settings


I don’t understand, so I created a file, made hair simulation and it was looking OK, then I tried to repeat with the same settings in another file and it looks different.

In first file I used WIND Force field with strength 20
And in second file the force of 1000 is not enough.

Then I exported first object and save all the settings.
It does not work.

My brain is goning to explode.

In your .blend, cube object that doesn’t react simply can’t.
You baked its cache. Free its cache and its hair will move according to wind force.

About children that are looking different on both objects with same settings, it is due to their different shape.
Don’t use same children settings, if their geometry (number of faces, shape) is different.
It is modifying parents distribution and chidren settings are based on that.
To reuse children settings on a bigger area, you have to cover it with several identical particles system of original area.
Most of times, it is simpler to have 2 different particle systems for 2 different objects.
