Pushing rigid body objects with camera

Hi,
I’ve created a slide as a passive rigid body and a ball (active rigid body) rolls down it using alt-a in cycles. This works.

I have also created a curve that follows the slide and a camera is parented to it so it can follow the ball.

The problem is, the camera always ends up overtaking the ball and I’d like to find a way to bump it if the camera gets close to stop this. I have tried without success;

  1. a passive rigid body parented to the camera
  2. a forcefield parented to the camera
  3. a second rigid body (active) object parented to the camera
  4. keyframing the friction of the slide

Please see the file attached. It is quite long but plays well in solid mode. The camera doesn’t overtake the ball until about half way through (6000 frame approx).

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Ian.

SOLVED BY ATTACHING THE FORCEFIELD TO THE OBJECT IN PT 1. AND CHANGING THE SHAPE TO ‘EVERY POINT’.
