You’re delusional.

Since this is your first post, I assume you didn’t read the forum rules at all before posting (otherwise you would’ve found that app. vs app. threads are not allowed).

The reason for that is that they have a tendency to become a flamewar where each side frequently accuses the other for willful denial of ‘facts’ (in quotes because they are actually opinions mostly) and/or fanboy behavior.

I’m very sorry, thanks for alerting me

Woah woah the first comments are not acknowledging that the 1st link is BGE and that it can deliver very realistic real-time rendering, and that the rest of the links are showing Armory, a fork of the Engine that is much better but still in development stages.

1.Armory is not a fork of blender, it is a separate program you have to buy at the moment,

2.Upbge is very powerful if you code c++, glsl, and python.

2b. The more of these languages you know, the more potential bge has.

  1. Many are intimated by the blank canvas you start with in upbge,
It has limits and flaws like any program, it’s not perfect.

It does however do everything I ask of it, and if I am asking too much the developers add new api commands(I wish I knew c++)

it is of course gpl which prevents apple distribution via the apple store.

no android port has been made, however PGI made a java jvm that runs blender python and I think immediate mode is being removed all over upbge sources to prepair it to be a compatible core profile for android,

long and short.

make fun small games for pc and learn about making fun games.

once you have a concept, and artists you implement in the engine you enjoy,

the engine is just a tool.

ps someone made this is upbge

And why armory looks like Blender, you sure is not a fork of Blender ?? And where is to buy it ?? I don’t see from store or anything as commercial lol …

Well it is written in a different language from the ground up I believe. If that makes it not a fork and instead a separate program. Btw I don’t really get what a fork is cus everything is particles and has a level of compatibility.

It looks like an open source project

They have a git repository that you could use. So you could build it for yourself but if you are planning to use blender for making games then it’s nicer to pay to help them out.

Just look how nice their blog is. http://forums.armory3d.org/t/build-12-is-out/424

A video showing a mostly plastic/metal character on a questionable looking rock in a presentation that looks like it would have been impressive a decade ago doesn’t exactly scream “UE4 competitor” to me…

You’re telling BPR? In his world, the BGE is an engine that’s actually superior to Unity, UE4, and Lumberyard put together, and he is not going to stop with those statements until we either all come to an unconditional agreement with him (either out of frustration or out of UPBGE really becoming an AAA solution) or he gets banned.

Since neither is likely to happen (the former barring a major increase in UPBGE development spurred by a successful integration as the official 2.8 engine), you will keep hearing it for many years to come.

OK BPR I got it, 50 € well pretty to help him more productively.

Which is better for game, Armory or UPBGE by your experience ?

I use upbge because I know the whole api and am comfortable mangling blender guts into new tools, upbge and armory are both great engines,

but I think upbge is better for the short term, if you know glsl and python.

Armoury it’s faster hands down, and grows consistently, but last I checked did not have a python api, so it ties my hands a bit. (though that may have changed)

my advice, try them both and see which feels more like home.

Wow, it’s cool

Thank you so much guys for replying
