M.o.u.s.e. Open GL Render Blender 2.78 and Eevee

Greetings. I’d like you to meet M.O.U.S.E. As the first finished character she will help me introduce you to “The Rise of the Unnaturals”. It is a project I’ve been developing for some time now. I will provide a link to a w.i.p. thread when I have it developed. Hopefully many more characters to come. As per the images, what you are looking at is OpenGL renders from Blender 2.78 collaged using Gimp.

I saw this in facebook, really impresive work! I love everything except the hand, it maybe the pose of the hand, and not the anatomy.
Keep it up! Looking forward to seen the next character!

Really great work. I love the bodysuit textures.

Good job and welcome to BA, it is nice to see your skills here.

Wow. Amazing concept. She reminds me for some reason of a human version of Gadget Hackwrench from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

But, but, but — What’s her power/gimmick? I’ve finished Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Defenders, Ironfist on Netflix, and I’ve finished The Tick on Amazon. I need my superhero fix. Hell, I’ve even done all of Puss in Boots. WHAT CAN SHE DO?

Nice work, BTW

EDIT: And yes, I read the synopsis, but that doesn’t answer my questions.

@Tonatiuh: Thank you and thanks for the critique. The poses were pretty weak. With the compatibility issues of 2.79 I only committed to doing a quick auto weight. When I move to 2.79 plus I’ll be looking to properly weight her for animation.

@Safetyman: Thank you. I’m really hoping I’ll be able to transfer those over to a pbr workflow with similar accuracy.

@threedslider: Thank you. Glad to be here.

@bigbad: Lol. I remember watching that show growing up. Maybe some inspiration subconsciously crept in.

@Roken: Thank you. I’m hoping to write up a short story for each character which should add some depth. To bring some clarity, I suppose in simplest terms, she shrinks and grows. I also have some w.i.p. images that might begin to give her some context.

As comic book art was a big inspiration to me growing up, I figured it was suiting to do up a comic book cover for the character to give a little nod to that fact. I’d like to try do up one for each character. Open gl diffuse pass with a shadow and AO pass done in blender internal with some touch ups in gimp.

Really nice model! Her suit’s texture reminds me alot of the original Tron movie, not sure if that is intentional or not. Also really nice work on her hair, must’ve been annoying to get that right! Waiting for the wip-thread! Hopefully you’ll make more of this series.

@NKO Thank you. I haven’t actually seen the original Tron movie, but I think I know what you’re getting at. I just referenced some circuit schematics and tried to model in patterns roughly flowing with the anatomy. Lol, ya, bottom line, hair sucks. Thanks for the encouragement, I’ll try to have I up asap.

Well I got her uploaded on SketchFab now.

One final render. Another scene in EEVEE. I’ve begun a w.i.p. thread of the overall project here https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?442125-The-Rise-of-the-Unnaturals-World-Building-and-Game-Development-Thread
