Blender to unity lighting problem.. HELP

I have a problem when i import an fbx or even saving blend in unity. My character looks way to bright. I have armature and subsurf still active when i import. I think its the armature because when i apply the mod in blender, he imports into unity and looks normal… but i cant animate him… he just sits in t pose. With armature not applied, he looks like this…


These are my modifiers in blender, not applied…


i know its not lighting in unity cause he looks fine when i apply the armature mod. But like i said i cant rig him…
