Fluid looks like it's floating ?

How can I fix this to make it looks less like it’s floating ?


thats the collision margin. have the visual mesh a bit above the static collider.

The ground seen has no collision, I set the domain bottom placement the same so it’s only colliding with the domain. Just tried adding a collision object using fluid obstacle I don’t think the result is right. Should it be penetrating ?


You can clearly see that fluid has a thickness of less than 3 cells.
In comparison, default torus primitive uses 6 faces to define its profile.
We can often expect a margin of one cell between fluid and word boundaries obstacles.

Don’t expect realism anywhere with a resolution so low.
