difference in render times between GUI and headless

Hi

I have a node with 4x 1080Ti, 128GB and a 16 core xeon and 2012 server
When I render the blender files in the GUI (23 min) it takes so much longer then when I render headless (script) (15 s)
is that because of the server OS or can there be another reason for this difference?

In general, command line rendering is almost always faster than rendering from the Blender interface. That said, a difference of 23 minutes versus 15 seconds does sound pretty suspicious. Are the resulting rendered frames identical with both approaches?
