Why the shape change when shrink

I have a basic shape and add some particles settings to it. I have just duplicate the mesh shift+D. Then i hide all the particles settings. In edit mode i just shrink the mesh and un-hide all the particles settings. After shrinking the mesh i see difference in both. It did not shrink as it was in original shape. After shrinking the shape from oval it got it spherical shape. How can i shrink the mesh with particles settings added to it and get exact way as it was is in original shape. In short i need a small and big size with exact shape and hair particles.

Check if scale is uniform (1,1,1) if not Apply it.
& Another thing… Hair/Particles also have their own size/scale settings - check & play in properties

Otherwise to get better support just share your file.
Why are you holding back? Relax, no need to be scared, no one is stealing exercises and experiments, you’ll only get less help.

Thanks for replying this is my blend file https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwiTD4qoMzsZeWxmcmtlbF8wVzg

As i stated before: “Hair/Particles also have their own size/scale settings - check & play in properties”

Also note:

  • Transforming Scale with Transformation Manipulator behaves differently than manually entering (typing in) Scale value

After few test, the closest way to achieve what you wish is either:

a) approach the problem in opposite way: Make smaller version first, then scale it up (you’ll also need to correct - fill in hairs - for area of distribution becomes larger

b) Create Mesh from Hair: apply “Particle System” modifier, make Curve from mesh (alt+c), set 3D shape, Fill:Full, add Bevel: Depth & Tapper Object

BTW
an observation.
Your file is a mess. Makes it easy to loose interest. So organize & study - read manuals, do trial & error, watch videos, research…
Here, a fish, but do learn how to catch it yourself

Thread: Why the shape change when shrink
(there’s also an answer… :eyebrowlift2:)

Yes not satisfied with the result i tried

Moderation: I’ve merged your two threads together. It makes the most sense to keep this all in one place. The Released Scripts forum is not the right place to be asking if a script or add-on exists.

@fweeb Yes but the problem is the when i shrink the mesh hair particles get disturb as you can see in the file and the gif file whats the problem above. So i thought if some one can create an addon that convert the hair and the problem. Thanks
