smoke sim fading out

Hi all,

Im trying to sim a long smoke trail but it just fades of, or dissipates, too quickly.
I have set the Smoke Cache to 400f. The adaptive domain seem so grow but the smoke doesn’t extend beyond a certain point.

The ‘Dissolve’ check box is off.

Any tips to extend the plume greatly appreciated.

Sorry for answering so terribly late :eek:

Your smoke dissolved through the bottom of your domain. Therefore change “border collisions” from “open” to “collide all” and it will work fine:
