Rigify extra toes

I saw a post kn here about rigging extra toe bones for rigify. Sometjing about adding a sample. But the user stated it did not work for him. Anyone know how to add extra toes or appendages to the metarig in Rigify before generating the rig?

Go into edit mode and in the properties tab, go to the armature data tab. Scroll to the bottom of the tab to rigify buttons and select the type of appendage you want to use. In this case it would probably be finger. Then click the Add sample button and blender will generate a bone structure of the type you have selected. Hope this helps!
