I noticed when sculpting in 2.79, holding the shift key no longer switches temporarily to the smooth brush. Holding the shift key now reduces my brush size to 1. Has anyone else observed this behavior. Have I missed something?
(OSX 10.12.5, Blender 2.79, Intuos4)

tested and “+ Shift” smooth works like it should work. Think your setup is wrong. I use Intuos and/or mouse. Everything is fine. Maybe you did a grazy key configuration or maybe a addon does crazy things!?
