Hey guys! Started working on a cup head fan art piece that I just wanted to share my initial progress on. Any critiques are welcome.
Update on my cuphead fanart. Started off doing some preliminary texturing to make him feel more “toy” like (almost like a more flexible version of pop vinyl) any critiques are welcome! Thanks
Excellent work! Why the ghosting, though?
A normal stance for this character is usually with clenched fists.
Make the grey color lighter. And make the tongue crevice more sharp.
From now on I’m a cuphead fan. The edges of the lips could be more sharp too. But never the less at first I thought it was a picture of the action figure in the box. So very nice work. And now that I compared it with the animation, the inside of the mouth could be completely black.

thanks for the feedback! I was thinking myself that the grey was a little too dark. Hard to tell when you’re looking at the reference for so long and the ghosting is the reflection of the plastic film material is my guess. May be the angle of the camera as well.
