I’m following the microphone tutorial by Little Web Hut, which is working out great. However, I would like to add a “nameplate” to the top of the microphone, just like the “PVM” shown in the image below:

Could someone please point me to a tutorial that could guide me?? Any help or input is sincerely appreciated! Thanks!

Object data properties for text have a curve option. The rest of the plate can be done at least halfway as a curve.

Thanks, JA12, for the quick reply and help. I understand what you have suggested. Any advice on how to make the border of the plate extrude evenly around the edges?

As a mesh, inset or offset edges addon. Not sure how to do that with curves only, other than using a vector graphics program
