Moving Blender texture Library & Multiple Computers

I’m looking for some tips on optimizing connections to textures over multiple computers. For example I recently bought a new PC, but my last years worth of and textures and Blender files are on my Macbook. Instead of opening 100 Blender files, packing all textures, would there be a faster or better way to manage files across both computers? I will continue to use the Macbook when not home, so my thoughts were to set up a shared Dropbox folder which would hold all Blender work & Texture Library. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

To be clear, are we to assume that your “texture library” on your map isn’t all organized into a single folder (perhaps with a few categorical sub-folders? Instead, they’re potentially all over your Mac’s hard drive with no organization at all. Is that the case?
