Notepad and OSL

I use Windows and I’m wondering if I could write and save an osl shader in Notepad?

OSL shaders can come in two different types. Compiled (.oso) and uncompiled (.osl).

The uncopiled files are just text files. You can use any text editor to edit them (Notepad inclusive).

Since compiling is relatively fast, it’s more common to find uncompiled versions of most shaders.
