I am preparing a project and investigating the VSE timeline. To do a drawn animatic that also has live action and multiple sound sources , what would be really useful for me is to have a strip on which you can add and edit grease pencil drawing directly in the timeline. I thought that I could do this using an adjustment layer as the strip menu offers some grease pencil menus. But I cannot get this to work. I can draw on the viewer but I have to use the dope sheet to adjust which makes the experience too laborious when I start moving the timeline elements around.
Maybe I am missing something. If not, the VSE / grease paint tool could be a really great way to manage and develop complex projects that have multi media sources.
