New Random Walk SSS Test [Video]

Hi all,

I just recorded a test video of the new random walk method for subsurface scattering cycles shader. It looks promising!

The new SSS looks like it will go a long way towards resolving just what might be missing yet in the quest for incredible realism (it gave a major improvement with the alien head).

Now if Brecht can get anisotropy working :slight_smile:

People, I can’t really tell how much I love this shader… I mean… It’s christmas… really… I did a quick sculpt and slapped a tileable texture on it… look at how the details are preserved and the colours… no way… there is another alien render as well.
