Hello there, this is my first time doing retopology and the project I’m working on is an anthropomorphic rabbit girl. It’s not nearly finished yet but retopology is a tad hard for me to understand right now.
Here is the front, 3/4, and right side views of it so far:
I would also like to point out I was trying to follow this as a reference here:

I was trying to go with the natural flow of the sternum, clavicle, trapezius and the sternocleidomastoid muscle landmarks.
Now I’m not sure what I like about it or what I should do to continue on.
The head physiology of a rabbit is quite different from than of a human, so you won’t really know if you got the flow right until you try to move the mouth parts, wiggle the ears, etc.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I usually get a model to a somewhat finished state, then I rig it and if there are topology problems I cut the model in half and mirror it, fix the topology, then apply the mirror. The vertex groups will automatically fix themselves most of the time – one of the reasons I love Blender so much; I don’t have to redo all the left/right naming after applying the mirror.
