Intro: Rester

14 grand made me a programmer never hired in the industry. So, I moved on to CG. I’ve used other CG software, but recently gave up on the one I was using. I learned Blender via you tube tutorials and a month later (now) I’m starting to really understand Cycles. I’ve always been pretty good at modeling, but I think with Blender I’ll be able to produce better textures in my work. So now, after a decade+ of unpaid CG experience, I feel I can call myself a CG artist. I love Blender, it is the only CG tool I use, now. There are areas, that I used to have trouble understanding, that Blender help clarify. What drew me here is the incredible support the Blender community is famous for… and crappy Facebook CG groups with no, little, or over moderation. Professional moderators… I like that idea.
