Procedural Rocks and ground

Hello community!

I want to share some tests I’ve been doing with the Blender materials
(specifically Principled) and Microdisplacements with textures procedural, no images. : D

Being honest I have to say that the result has surprised me a lot, it is amazing what can be done with only procedural textures and microdisplacement!

Microdisplacement (scroll texture)
I used textures like Voronoid in your choice Intensity mixed with a Noise for the stones (manage the size of them with ColorRamp). I made them in 3 different scales and, I added with mix Add a texture Noise to simulate small reliefs of the earth.

Color, roughness and normal map
Color: Noise and many noise for both earth and stones.
Roughness and normal map: I reused the texture resulting from the displacement and inverted with * Invert * (I had the information in the way I needed only the other way around) plus some noise to give it variation.

I hope the information helps you.
Blender every day surprises me and loves me more.

Long live Blender!

I send you a hug!

Nice result for a procedural material, with Blender all become simple in every new build, Blender get better and better…

Nice result.

you might want to look at Secrop’s loop node. It can really help with materials like this by allowing you to iterate procedural textures.
