A "tape" of cloth connected two to independantly animated objects....?

Hi,

either I am currently gone blind … or…

A have a straight bezier curve subdivided by 10 vertice.
For each vertex I created a hook via an empty each.
Then I created a plane, stretched it to the length of the bezier curve
and subdivided that accordingly too.
I parented each empty to thre vertice of the plane in sequence.
I made the plane a cloth and added a bevel (full) to the bezier curve.
Finally I created a vertex group of the last three vertice to pin that cloth.
Animated that gives a nice freely moving cable/hose…

BUT!
Suppose both ends of the plane (animation-wise both ends of the cable/hose) were attached
to two independantly animated/moced object, this simulation fails, since moving the opposite end
of the pinning group move the whole plane instead of one end.

Is there any chance to attach both ends of the plane independantly to two object, so a believable
cable animation is the result without getting a stretchable or otherwise wired acting cable/hose in
turn?
And if yes…how?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

Slightly confused,
mcc
