Can you import a .dxf file generated by DoubleCAD XT v5
into Blender 2.79?
I have not succeeded, even following the procedure explained
in the various tutorials. When I import a .dxf file, a window opens
with many errors reported.
Will it be incompatible?

Specs, sample files, error reports, images, 2D/3D… anything but :rolleyes:
otherwise FreeCAD & Teigha File Converter are your friends

With Blender you can import only dxf file R14. if you need a free program to manage the exporting version use this a cross paltform free CAD.
Hey @tux1 how good is DoubleCAD is if you don’t mind me asking.
I currently use Draftsight (it’s free) and I don’t have any problems exporting .dxf drawings to blender. I recommend Accutrans 3D as well.
