Mapping circle select to Alt+MMB

Hello,

I am having a hard time achieving a following input mapping:

I want to hold down Alt+LMB and start painting circle select
Upon releasing Alt+LMB, I want the selection to be performed and and the circle select mode exited

It seems that it’s not possible to have Circle select mapped to Tweak:Alt+LMB and at the same time start using Alt+LMB LMB Press action for circle selection painting and then using LMB Release as Confirm action to exit circle select mode.

Am I missing something, or is this a limitation that can’t be worked around?

It seems to work if for example C key is the initiator of the circle select, but it does not seem to work if the input combination used for circle selection mode is the same one as the one used for actual select event inside circle mode.

You need to check “Deselect” in “Circle select” shortcut properties. Then click on “Deselect” again, so instead of being grayed out it set to “none”.
And in “View3D Gesture Circle” you need to add shortcut “Confirm” on “C release”
