Hi!
Juste made a simple script to easily create terrains in Blender.
It creates a plane with subdivision, and put it in sculpt mode.
Use your sculpt tools as usual.
A shader is made with the color changing according to altitude/height
Try to use your own textures instead of the basic colors.

Installation:
Start Blender and open User Preferences. Click on the addons tab
Click “install from file” , then choose downloaded zip or .py
Check the addon to activate, then save user preferences
To use , Shift +a -> mesh -> fast terrain

Just go to weight paint and paint your grass zones.
Fusion is coming

The free addon Fast Landscape is available (fusion of fast ocean and fast terrain, with grass system ) is available !!!
live grass painting Preview in wight paint mode.
I will post a single topic for Fast Landscape, and probably close this one and fast ocean’s.
