Replacement part using 3D Scanning, Blender and 3D Printing

Hello,

I would like to share with you a video that shows how I used 3D Scanning and Blender to repair a broken part of my car.

To find replacements parts for VW California T4 can be a difficult process. The material that I used is Polyamide 12 Multi Jet Fusion. A very hard Plastic that you can work very good after the 3D print.

Hope you enjoy.

Scanner looks familiar…, isn’t it Artec Spider? Btw what 3D printer did you use?

Hi,

Sorry for the late responce. Yes , the scanner that I used is Artec Spider and the Material is Polyamide 12 but not Selectiv Laser Sintering but Multi Jet Fusion. I wanted to test this Material and is working pretty good.

nice work , this looks so hard
does the scanner work with blender or does it use its own softwear ?

It uses its own programm. Artec Studio is the name and then you can export it in the format that you want. With or without texture.
