Want to master node editor- any advice?

Hey so I have been using blender for about 5 years on and off. In the past 3 months or so I have learned a lot about nodes but find myself struggling to create most models without looking up a few tutorials online about them. Is there any series of videos or tutorials you recommend that will help me really see the full picture of each node and what they do? I have a light workload for the next month-ish to learn about nodes and would like to spend a decent amount of time trying to master them.

Thanks in advance - Ry

Try these:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H5W6C_Mbck <-- this one explains the new Principled shader, which combines a lot of nodes into one big one.

The op didn’t specify which nodes, which render engine, but the whole node editor. That includes all node trees, material/texture/compositing, all subtrees object/world/brush/linestyle, both render engines, external render engines with node material integration, and other node addons like animation nodes.

The first link is a reupload from getblended.org’s tutorial and changed the title so it’s very wrong. That’s nowhere all nodes and it’s not a comprehensive tutorial, the original is an introduction to Cycles material nodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxLEv1k8VMI

Thank you! those made it a lot easier to understand than most of the generic videos I’ve come by

thanks for a great starting point. I should have specified, i am look mostly into cycles rendering. I wanted the chance to look at each node in depth to see what they could do.
