Rigify (Cat) Eye Problems

Hi.

Using rigify Metarig (Cat) I tried to generate a Rig for a rather non-cat creature.

Mostly it works well. But on the Eyes I run into problems.

The Rig I generated with rigify showed correct bone positions for the eyes in the edit mode (Fuchur_Rigify_Generated.jpg, image below). But outside edit mode, constraints mix up everything unexpectedly (Fuchur_Rigify_Generated.jpg, image above).

Not sure how to solve this, do you have an idea?

Probably I found the solution.
There is a control bone “eyes”. It was on the back of the head. If I put it in front of the head, it corrects eye shape instantly.
For some reason rigify generated eyes and eye.L and eye.R on the back side of the head. So I had to go to edit mode and move these 3 manually to the front of the head.

Now everything works fine :slight_smile:
