Weird texture artifacts.

Hello, I’m new here and this is my first post!

I have a question about weird artifacts appearing on free object I’ve downloaded from websites.

This is what it looks like in material mode in the editor. (Looks ok.)

This is what it looks like when I render the image. (Looks like a free object downloaded from the net.)

How would I go about fixing this issue, as it doesn’t seem to be a normals, or UV mapping issue.

(Apologies if this is in the wrong board.)

And for anyone who’s interested, this is the current project I’m working on. (And what the car model is for.)

Could be overlapping geometry, hard to tell without a sample blend file.

Thanks for the response, I’ve attached my blend file for you. Any help that can point me in the riht direction is welcome!

I agree, smacks of overlapping geometry. Also check your normals are ok, though I’d expect the black to show up in the solid viewport mode then.

It was overlapping geometry. Thanks to the clean up > Remove Doubles functinon, it’s all fixed now.

Thanks for the pointers.
