Old skategirl.blend game

I remember the old skategirl.blend game and recently found it. But when I went to try it the engine put the girl over the track and did not work. Any clue how to get it functioning?
I set render to Blender Game, and under game engine I selected Start Game. Am I missing something? Or is it just too old?

Works fine in my default Blender version (Blenderpublisher 2.25) … no really!

I already updated it a view years ago. It works up to Blender 2.75 without issue. Since Blender 2.76 there are some animation issues.
