Blender Hydra / UpBgE

Upbge / old scanline render, is being replaced with eevee in blender 2.8.

This is really nice in theory for the GE to grow…

…but for people who have older computers it’s a deathblow for the engine.

I have used every inch of bge and know it’s strengths, and it’s weakness.

I need a C++/C / OpenGL developer to help finish off the engine.

Features I wish to include.

  1. Parralax corrected cube maps for image based lighting/reflection
  2. cube map grid system (to precompute static cube maps)
  3. forward+ lighting with BVhtree based light cuts
  4. PBR workflow using pbr node available in 2.78b but with standalone
  5. gIft importer/exporter
  6. merge mesh editing api from pull request.

and anything else the community wants.

later we will integrate blender verse, and make multiplayer blending / game dev possible

I believe for the future of humanity, Art, Math, and physics need to be toys people play with.

Social Game Dev will both educate and allow artistic expression,
I believe it is our only chance to combat the current waves of idiocracy.
