Advanced Backface Culling Tip Needed

Hello all,

this is a trick that has been peaking my interest for a while now, though its a rather advanced one.


Look at the following scene which I’ve quickly crafted. I’m wondering if there is a way to make the brick ball only visible when being looked at through the purple block’s backface culled center.

I would be pleasantly surprised if this were possible, however, I know that the people on this website make magic happen, so it wouldn’t be too far fetched to find a savvy enough buddy.

It’s possible in rendered viewport shading and render.

How did you do that…? XD

I used a mask object on a mask layer and enabled z mask and negate options in render layer properties.
