Does the size of a face affect the amount of fire?

So I’m currently trying to make a nice flame effect, and in particular trying to get very defined spiky flames, but I’ve just come across an odd issue while testing out various parameters on a a simple cylinder:


As you can see, the fire is being emitted much more fiercely from the ends. I’m using an initial velocity on the normals of ‘1’

maybe delete the left and right cap of the cylinder and see what happens… this big faces do also emit the fire. Maybe also try to subdiv the cap`s and see what happens. And when you turn of the scene gravity every face that is emitting something will be “mixed” to the next neighbour domain “pixel” or “voxel” or “cube volume pixel”… resolution and quality depends on the domains resolution…sorry about my bad english… hope it helps a bit…

You forgot the final step - Repeat for 400 frames :o
