Shrinkwrap constraint fails in distributed rendering - any idea why?

I have a rigged truck and wheels need to follow the surface of ground. I have shrinwrap constraint on each wheel bone which works nicely and renders without problems in local machine. But when I send the file to render farm, wheels disappear (where they go, no idea). I used both nearest point and project modes, but both occasionally produce this error. It seems that the shrinkwrap constraint fails for some reason and wheels end up somewhere in space, but what might be causing it, any ideas? Render farm command has python drivers etc enabled with -y argument.

Everything worked until at one point it didn’t. Then it started working again (didn’t do anything special), now it doesn’t again. File is unfortunately too big to demonstrate, I’ll see if I can cook up some simple example that reproduces the issue.
