[Stereoscope] Anaglyph red/cyan colors reversed?

Hi, I was recently looking at the red/cyan anaglyph rendering option and noticed that the colors seem to be reversed. A standard pair of 3D glasses have a red filter over the left eye and a blue filter over the right eye. Unless I’m mistaken, this ensures that the left eye can only see the cyan color on the right side of the image and vice versa, so that when they cross over/meet in the middle, the 3D illusion occurs.

Blender, however, is rendering the cyan overlay on the left and the red on the right. This would force you to turn your 3D glasses around backwards or upside down in order to view the effect properly. I found a thread on this topic was brought up in the ‘bugs’ section, but can’t find it anymore. Blender has had this stereoscopic rendering feature since 2.75, and I’m using 2.79. Has it not been addressed yet or am I missing something?
