I think I’ve gone stupid. My first model was of a dolphin, modeled with a lattice. Now I need to use a lattice again and I cannot for the life of me get it to work.
I have added a Nurbs Sphere first, then a lattice on the same layer. In Object mode I select the lattice then with Shift-Right Mouse I select the sphere. Then Ctrl-P “Make Parent”, then go back to edit mode with the lattice selected.
That should be it, right? When I deform the lattice there is absolutely no change to the sphere. I’ve tried nurbs, and mesh but still no luck.
What am I doing wrong?

You’ve selected them the wrong way. Remember to select the parent last
unbelievable. I tried that many times. I guess it was probably after I had already asigned the sphere as the parent?

yeah probably (alt +p removes parent)
