Making Grass Flash Tutorial

I have made a tutorial about making grass in Blender. It’s rather quick and I need to get myself used to the wink timing.

Please have a look at it and give me tips for the next ones. Currently I’m not sure if someone who doesn’t already know how to accomplish this can follow the steps.

Nice tutorial. I think that you should perhaps provide .blends that describe the beginning and the end situation. It might make things easier for some and act as a reference.

Are you planning to make tutorials about hair, curve guides and weight painting too? It would help a lot if you made a cool hair-do to Suzanne explaining the basic concepts. I think it would be a good tutorial to go through after this one.

Very nice tutorial!

I agree this will be helpful when making a shape key tutorial (e.g. providing a .blend with a face mesh), but in this case I start from scratch so I thought it wasn’t necessary to provide an empty blend.

Very nice tutorial!
Would it be possible for you to give us a link so we can download them plz…So we can watch them offline plz and save your bandwidth?
Thx

Thanks.

You can check the source code of the page an find out this (just in case you need that in the future):

great tut, thank you so much.

I love this kind of tut. Effective, simple to follow and good resullts.

Thank you

Great, thanks.

Excellent Nico! Thanks and looking forward to more concise to the point tuts. This should be in Wiki before it disappears into Elysiuns back pages. [!]

Great demo.
I used to use something that could make demos like this years ago when I used Windows. Does anyone know of anything which makes these things for Linux? I understand that there’s a capture / editor set available for VNC sessions, but not sure it’s interactive like this one (pushing “Next” or adding blurbs).

grass tutorial good ,how did u film it…

edgeloop one was short ,thought that one could be better

I used Wink to create it. I agree the other tutorials are not good, I will make better ones now that I know how to use Wink.

i heard mention of wink…is it free where is it…

I googled and found wink at http://www.debugmode.com/wink/
…it’s very cool - they even have a Linux version like I wanted. I think it’s going to make life in the classroom a bit easdier this year (Info Tech teacher)

Yeah, Satish - Wink’s creator - is an awesome guy. All of his programs are free and he personally responds to many of the posts on his site forums. If you want features added to one of his programs, he will try to accomodate your needs. I just wonder where he finds all of the time. Check out all of his cool FREEWARE at http://www.debugmode.com . Wink is worth at least $150 - $200 U.S., but it’s FREE!!!

Here is what he offers:
WinMorph Morphing Editor
Wink Tutorial / Presentation Creator
Wax Video Editing & Special Effects Software
FrameServer / Transfer NLE files from oneapplication to another without having to render them first
Image Compression Toolbox
DisC Decompilation Wizard
