i have tried to do this w/o a plug-in but just doesn’t do it right. Maybe the refraction plug-in might do the trick, i havn’t really used many b4, just the field of depth one.

Someone else did an animation with a skeleton in a Matrix-like animation. You may want to email the website directly. I don’t think there was a plug-in, but it may have been the warp plug-in

Actually I’m pretty sure what he wants is the scrolling text thing.

I was thinking along the lines of scrolling text as well. And thought that the most easy way of doing it really ought to be screen capturing a bunch of versions of a matrix text screensaver, layering those to get the depth sense and bam, off ya go. Of course, it will kill diskspace, but its easy, and can be made loopable quite easily…

I indeed meant the scrolling text. I have been fiddling with normal movie textures, but i couldnt find the strange font type.

I suggest using A video compositing package - Under linux I use Broadcast2000c - (Windows suggestion anybody)

This is for Maya, so I don’t know how much help it will be, but it is the Matrix Text Scrolling Effect.
This is the effect the person using Maya got out of it.
Once again, I’m not sure it can work in Blender, but it’s worth a try.
And if not, why don’t u just create the letter “A” for example, create two duplicates but put their transparency down, that may work.
Then all you have to do is “ALT - P” the two duplicates to the original and send the original falling down the screen.
Or, send the original hurling down there and put motion blur on, hey, it may work.
