Help with Python Scripts

I apologise in case this has already been answered but i cannot find a reference using the search facility, also I am a blender newbie.

I have installed Python 2.2.2 sucessfully on XP.
I have tested it with a simple script :- import sys print sys.path and i get the enviroment variables back OK.
I am trying to use some scripts I found on http://www.janw.gothere.uk.com/import.html
but i get the following error
This script only works with the new GUI Model.
I have tried version 2.25 and 2.26 has anyone got any ideas please ?

-These scripts works only with the versions of Blender that have the old Api.You need Blender 2.23.
