0rAngE Sketchbook

Thank you so much for your response! I though you were using some mystical addon, or a super secret method, thanks again!

ninjaboy14: Welcome to the forum! I have not used ever but I know blender has it’s own game engine.

I’m not sure if you are referring to this sketchbook specifically or not but that is a complicated question.
To keep it simple: No the model as it is sculpted now would not be usable in a game, there are far too many polygons and it isn’t textured to be rendered in a game engine (it is for cycles).
HOWEVER if the high-res sculpt was baked onto a low res re-topo model it could definitely be used in a game engine or if an animation is rendered using this model it could be used in a pre-rendered cut-scene.
Learning Blender for Game Modeling and Learning Blender for Animation are two very different subjects even though many subjects will intersect and apply to both.
Hopefully I’ve explained that clearly enough however if you have any other questions this thread probably isn’t the best place for them. You are welcome to shoot me a PM though

ON-TOPIC:
Some really amazing sculpts you have here, and the time-lapse videos make it seem so effortless.
I always appreciate when people take the time to make videos so we get to see the workflow.
Keep up the great work!

dude 0rAngE freaky cool!

Your artworks are just amazing

Great job I have seen here . Actually I am going to study in this program.

ninjaboy14 | Pretty much like afalldorf had said.
afalldorf | Thanks on the positive feedback. The capturing and time-lapses definitely take an extra effort to make. Nice to hear they’re appreciated.
hanzo | Oy, thanks!
KarelZe | Appreciate the comments, thanks!
bijutoha | Thanks

Started a new sculpt. Didn’t really have a developed concept, more of an improv sculpt jam.

Wanted to see how this looked rendered out. Per usual, using Microno’s shader as a base.

edit:
Updated render. Plugged in Acer’s Eye, I’ll remove it if you mind. That’s a sweet shader!

WOW!!

Supercool these modeling.

It’s somewhat caricatured, but very interesting.

Thanks wanilson_m

Here’s a bit of an update with this guy. Transfered the Diffuse to the new geo/UVz. Gotta do Bump and Spec maps still.

And some info behind the sweater.
Instead of modeling or sculpting it from scratch, in pose, with folds. I made a quick low poly model, subdivided, and ran a cloth sim on it. Fixed some issues and tweaked it with sculpting.

great models. I have not heard of the hairnet add-on, but if it makes hair any easier to make, it’s a bonus.

Amazing. I am digging this stylized female sculpt the most, it has so much character and looks very clean. The hair is a nice addition, I just checked out the addon you mentioned it it looks really useful, I wonder why I havent noticed this earlier somwhere, to me combing and styling hair has always been a true pain. Yu could try to add some loose strands hanging down above her forehead, to relax it a bit, and add some assymetry breaking the strict plain look.
Great work again!

very nice.

Thanks on the comments guys.
suboptimal | Thanks on the feedback. It was just me playing with the add-on, so much of it is most likely going to change. Like you, I’m not big on styling hair using the regular tools. Hairnet to me personally is waaay easier to get to that starting point. Anyway, this model will go to the backburner again most likely.

Dished out a quick one the other day, off a human base mesh. This I believe is my first real sculpt with multiRes, feels pretty good. Granted this is a super lowRez mesh, just 64K faces.
Wasn’t happy with my previous Spidey (from page 1), wanted to give it another go. The pose just seems to be too challenging for AutoSkinning with Rigify, I’dhave to do a lot of fixing.

These are really impressive! Keep up the good work

bonrw1 | Thanks.

A quick variation on this sculpt using Grab and SnakeHook.

edit:
After trying a couple of varitaons, I think I’ll settle for something like this

Rendered it w Cycles to see the forms under an actual lighting.

Really great works, it was joy to go through them
