1 thing holding me back from releasing my game! Please help!

Hi guys,

OK, 4X4 is done. But I want it so that when I publish it, when you maximize the window, it won’t stretch the game, instead it’ll just reveal more outside the camera, like blender does. This is the only thing holding me back from releasing the game so please help!

I’d like the game to run in fullscreen but not stretch the image. I’m on a widescreen monitor and it looks stupid when it goes fullscreen. But if I set the res to fullscreen in-game, then it’ll squish up and be really tall and thin on normal monitors

Thanks!

I think… you have to set the cameras to the correct dimensions.

Thanks mate… yes, but if I set my camera to ‘normal’ (say 640 x 480) then on a widescreen (say 1440 x 900) it all gets stretched and looks really wide. But if I set it to widescreen, then on a ‘normal’ monitor that would all be squashed up and tall.

Maybe I’ll have to give fullscreen a miss…

I think you need to push this button:

…and when starting the game on full screen, you need to set the resolution properly. If your wide screen native resolution is 1680x1050 set this resolution in “Game Framing Setting” …and so on.

Thanks haidme, I’ve done that (I followed Blendenzo’s tutorial) but it didn’t work. I guess I’ll just leave Fullscreen for now and just get the game published, then revisit it and have a play around. Good luck with KRUM btw, it’s really inspired me!
