A tricky build for a car that doesn’t exist anymore and hasn’t for about 80 years. But the aircraft styled look of it is so unique and space age that I had to build one. This car was configurable as a speed record breaking streamliner or as a road racer like its siblings. Panels and coverings were swapped out for each type of race. She broke the 200mph speed record in 1935 but little success elsewhere due mostly from what I gather was difficulties with the closed cockpit. The A, C. and D type Auto Union cars get much more attention and have been fully restored for the Audi museum and car shows/races around the world!
